Biographical notes:

Koenig held various positions at the Allis-Chalmers Manufacturing Company from 1944-1962 including supervisor of the computer laboratory. In 1962 he left Allis-Chalmers to take a teaching position with the University of Wisconsin. Koenig received the Alfred Noble Prize for his work on analog computers in 1951 and was active in several professional organizations including the Association for Computing Machinery and the Institute for Electrical and Electronics Engineers.

After receiving his BS in Electrical engineering from Washington University in 1943, Eldo C. Koenig began at Allis-Chalmers Manufacturing Company as a test engineer. He completed his MS at the Illinois Institute of Technology in 1949 and received his PhD from the University of Wisconsin in 1956. Koenig held various positions at Allis-Chalmers including supervisor of the computer laboratory. In 1962, he left Allis-Chalmers to take a teaching position with the University of Wisconsin. Koenig was active in several professional organizations including the Association for Computing Machinery and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
