Biographical notes:

Caroline Bancroft was born to a prominent Denver, Colo. pioneer family in 1900. During her lifetime, she was a socially connected bon vivant, journalist, prolific author and defacto historian whose Colo. history pamphlets helped popularize the state during the later half of the 20th century. Bancroft died in Denver in 1985.
