Pascal, Ernest, 1896-1966
Biographical notes:
In 1947 RKO studio announced its plans of a major motion picture production about the Lewis and Clark Expedition. Ernest Pascal was hired to write a script and Stephen Ames was named as producer. Warner Brothers obtained the screenplay and planned to produce it in 1955, but the plan was abandoned when Paramount released its own Lewis and Clark movie, "Far Horizons" starring Charlton Heston and Fred McMurray. This is the surviving script for the movie.
