Formerly the Community Leadership Commission, the New Texas Foundation was Governor Ann Richards' non-profit organization that supported and managed educational and women's development initiatives, such as the Governors' Commission for Women which sponsored the Texas Women's Hall of Fame, Take Our Daughters to Work, and the State Agency Council's program on Outstanding Women in Public Service, to name a few.
