Biographical notes:

Charles White McGehee (1914-1993) was born in Summit, Mississippi. He graduated from the Crane Theological School of Tufts University in 1959, and was ordained to the Unitarian ministry the same year at the Birmingham Unitarian Church. A second career minister, he was a newspaper editor and radio director prior to entering the ministry. He served parishes in West Upton, Massachusetts; Jacksonville, Florida; and Chattanooga, Tennessee. He was also the Southeast director of the Unitarian Universalist Society for Social Justice for a year. His publications include Minot Judson Savage: Rebuilder of the Faith; Requiem for the Six Million; The Watergate Sermons; A Catechism for Unitarian-Universalism; and Answers in the Wind.
