Dakin, Marjorie
Biographical notes:
Marjorie Dakin was born December 5, 1911 in Gloucester, England to Ernest Edward Lane Dakin and Lilian Clayton. Dakin’s family immigrated to the United States in 1920, arriving in New York with a final destination of California. An active member of the Christian Science community, Marjorie Dakin met Arthur Corey briefly in 1947 or 1948. They were reacquainted later and became correspondents. While living in New York, she corresponded with several Christian Scientists including ethnographer Carobeth Laird, Harold Lund, and Eva Grinnell. Dakin died on April 13, 2002 in New York, New York.
