Judson C. Ward (1912-2009), Emory University Executive Vice President. Ward received both a BA and a MA from Emory. He earned his doctorate in history from the University of North Carolina. He taught at Fitzgerald High School, Birmingham-Southern College, and the Georgia Teachers College (now Georgia Southern University), where he also served as the College President. At Emory, Ward was a professor of Georgia history, dean of the undergraduate liberal arts college, vice president and dean of facilities, and, finally, the executive vice president.
