Aeronautical pioneer.

Aeronautical engineer and astronomer. After participating in several explorations into New Guinea, Hargrave worked as an assistant astronomical observer at the Sydney Observatory, Australia 1878-1883. He then devoted his time to research in aeronautics and human flight.
