Biographical notes:
Steneck joined the University of Michigan faculty in 1970 as a professor of history. His interest in ethics in research led to his involvement with the Collegiate Institute for Values and Science (CIVS). He later established the Historical Center for the Health Sciences. Steneck and his wife also developed and taught History 265 on the history of the University of Michigan. Steneck also served on numerous university committees.
