Biographical notes:

Brothers Joel and Isaac Newhall operated a mercantile business in Salem, Massachussets, ca. 1809-25; Isaac arranged shipments of cotton from Macom, Georgia, 1836-38, with a third brother, George Newhall, of Boston.
