Eduardo Hernández-Chávez is retired from the University of New Mexico as the Director of the Chicano Studies Department and from the Department of Linguistics, where he served as and Associate Professor. Ysaura Bernal-Enríquez received her PhD from the University of New Mexico in 2002 in the Division of Language, Literacy and Sociocultural Studies. She has published and taught about bilingualism and Spanish language maintenance. She is currently teaching at California State University Stanislaus.
