Benjamin Louis Eulalie de Bonneville (1796-1878) was an American soldier and explorer. His exploits were romanticized by Washington Irving, to whom he owes much of his fame.

Benjamin Louis Eulalie de Bonneville graduated from the United States Military Academy in 1815. In 1832 he led an expedition to the Green River region in Wyoming where he established Fort Bonneville and engaged in exploration and fur trading. He returned to Missouri in 1835 and continued his service as an army officer. Bonneville was the subject of The Adventures of Captain Bonneville, by Washington Irving (1837).
