Ohio born Willeke practiced architecture in Cincinnati, New York and California and studied in Europe before opening his own firm in Detroit in 1914. Between 1916 and 1924, Willeke completed a number of commissions for Henry Ford, Edsel Ford, and several Ford Motor Company officials including Ernest C. Kanzler and Charles E. Sorensen. Projects included residential work, furniture design, and urban planning.
