Biographical notes:
Seattle Democratic politician, broadcasting executive, and campaign manager for U.S. Senator Homer T. Bone.
Saul Haas worked as a teacher and a reporter, then became managing editor of the Seattle Union Record newspaper in the 1920s. Active with the Democratic Party, he managed Homer T. Bone's senatorial campaign in 1932 and President Franklin D. Roosevelt's campaign in Washington State in 1936. Haas also worked as a customs official, a member of the U.S. War Finance Committee during World War II, a radio and television executive, a businessman, and a board member of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.
