Henry P. Chandler (1880-1975) was a Chicago lawyer and the first director of the Administrative Office of the United States Courts. Chandler received his law degree from the University of Chicago in 1906 and practiced law in Chicago until 1939, when he was appointed to the Administrative Offices. Chandler served as president of the City Club of Chicago from 1923 to 1925. He also served as chairman of the Committee on Child Welfare Legislation, which made studies of children's laws in Illinois. Chandler was also a trustee of Hull-House.
