Lex De Azevedo (b. 1943) was a Latter-day Saint composer.
Lex De Azevedo, daughter of singer Alyce King, was born in California and began his career in Hollywood as a musical director for programs such as The Sonny & Cher Show, Michael Jackson & the Jackson Five, and The Osmonds . Perhaps most well known in the LDS community for his musical Saturday's Warriors, De Azevedo also composed the music score for the films Where the Red Fern Grows and The Swan Princess . De Azevedo's accomplishments also include several other Broadway-style musicals, scoring numerous episodes of Bible Stories and American Hero Classics, compositions for pop singers (including other members of his family), and appearances as a guest conductor with orchestras and symphonies such as the London National Philharmonic.
