Biographical notes:

Clyde W. Park was a professor of English in the College of Commerce and Engineering at the University of Cincinnati. He was born in New Lexington, Ohio in 1880 and completed his Bachelor's degree at Ohio State University in 1907. He pursued graduate work at both Ohio State and Harvard University. He began working at the University of Cincinnati as an instructor in English in 1907. He soon advanced to the rank of professor and taught at the university for the next 38 years. While at UC, Park was the faculty advisor for the Cooperative Engineer, a quarterly publication of the College of Engineering's students and alumni. Park wrote a biography of former UC president, Herman Schneider, a text book entitled, English for Engineers, and hundreds of articles for magazines and newspapers. Park also served as editor of the Lincoln Library encyclopedia and wrote a number of historical books, including The Boy Grant and Morgan and his Raiders .

In 1908, Park married Mabel Reslor and together they had two children. Park died in 1974
