Physician and researcher; co-discoverer with H. Houston Merritt of the nonsedative anticonvulsant, diphenyl hydantoin (Dilantin; Parke-Davis), in 1938; neurological surgeon in private practice in Beverly Hills and at Cedars of Lebanon Hospital in Los Angeles, Ca. from 1947 to 1975.
