Biographical notes:
Dr. Jiri Vitek served on the faculty of the Division of Neurobiology of the University of Alabama School of Medicine in the 1980s and 1990s. From 1990 to 1992, Dr. Vitek photographed the construction of the Kirklin Clinic from his office in Jefferson Tower of University Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama.
