Member of Transportation Committee (1973-1976; vice-chairman, 1975-1976), Counties and Townships Committee (1973-1976); Elementary and Secondary Education Committee (1977-1980; vice-chairman, 1977-1978), and Public Utilities Committee, 1977-1980; chairman, 1979-1980). Former teacher in Bethalto Community Unit No. 8 and chairman of Madison-Macoupin County Intercity Water Commission (1969-1973).
