Biographical notes:

Scocos (b. October 18, 1918), was drafted into the Army Air Corps in February of 1942 and achieved the rank of 1st lieutenant. After his return to the United States in 1945, he eventually settled in Madison, Wis.

Scocos (1918-2004) served in the Air Corps from 1942 to 1945 as a bombardier in the 723rd Squadron, 450th Bomb Group and achieved the rank of 1st lieutenant.

After the war he worked at Sears stores in Fond du Lac (Wisconsin), Madison (Wisconsin), Rochester (Minnesota), and Owatonna (Minnesota). He retired in 1988 and settled in Madison.
