Biographical notes:

William Janocha (1959- ) is an American cartoonist, illustrator and comics historian.

William Janocha was born in October 1959 in West Chester, Pennsylvania. Janocha received his BFA from Syracuse University in 1981 and drew a daily comic strip while a student there.

Janocha worked for the Walt Disney Productions Broadcast Arts studio in New York and became Mort Walker’s assistant in 1987. Janocha has written for magazines including Mad and Hogan's Alley . He has drawn book illustrations and his editorial cartoons have appeared in the Greenwich Time and Stamford Advocate . The National Cartoonists Society recognized Janocha with a Silver T-Square Award in 1996.
