The Home Mission Board is an agency of the Southern Baptist Convention responsible for mission efforts in North American. The Board was founded in 1845. The Research Division of the Board produced various reports and studies related to religious life in the United States and to Baptists in particular. The Home Mission Board changed its name to the North American Mission Board in 1997.
