Active in the National Medical Association, Nashville Auxiliary and the Volunteer State Medical Association, Nashville Auxiliary, Girl Scout Council, Nashville Leadership Council, Church and Social Groups.

Musician, teacher, humanitarian.

Born in Baldwin, La. Alice Walker worked with the R.F. Boyd Medical Society as President until overcome by illness. The papers were compiled and released to Meharry Archives after her demise. Two large scrapbooks show and tell the projects and assistance given by the group.
