Lindsey, Alexander

Biographical notes:

The Scottish National Antarctic Expedition, 1902-1904 (leader William Speirs Bruce) set up a meteorological station on Laurie Island, South Orkney Islands. This station was later transferred to the Argentine government who continue to make observations there to this day. Alexander Lindsey ran the station for the 1909-1910 season.
