Biographical notes:

Tucson businessman; sales representative for Arbuckle Brother Coffee Company, 1892 to 1913, investor in real estate, insurance, laundries, banking, mining and ranching. His political involvements included appointments to the Territorial Board of Equalization, 1896; Tucson City Council, 1906-1907 and 1909-1910; Arizona legislator, 1915-1916; University Board of Regents, 1919-1923, and the Tucson Board of Education from 1920. In 1929, he was appointed joint ancillary receiver for the Public Utilities Consolidated Corporation in Nogales.
