Paddison, Richard Porson.
Biographical notes:
George Paddison, originally from England, settled in North Carolina in 1856. His son, Richard Porson Paddison, resided in Point Caswell, Pender County, N.C., where he operated steamboats on the Black and Cape Fear rivers. His daughter Annie married Joel Cook Pretlow and lived at Point Caswell and at Wilmington, N.C. They had two sons, Joel Cook Pretlow, Jr. and James Paddison Pretlow.
