Actress and singer, Joan Roberts, the original Laurey in OKLAHOMA (1943) was born in New York City and began her career on the stage as a child. She appeared in over 25 musicals on Broadway and on tour (1941-1950), was seen on television in the 1960s, and has recorded several albums of songs.
