Biographical notes:
College of Arts and Sciences, offered in 1965 the Associate of Arts in Nursing degree. Directors and Deans of the College of Nursing: Lida Williams, Director, 1965-1968; Geraldine Labecki, Dean, 1968-1980; Gloria Tanner, Acting Dean, 1980-1981; Mary Lohr, Dean, 1981-1986; Mary Ann Kelly, Acting Dean, 1987 January; Opal Hipps, Dean, 1987-1995. July 1, 1968, the School of Nursing was established; this became the College of Nursing on May 1, 1972; and in 1995 returned as the School of Nursing. In 1978, the Wellness Center was established.
