Timothy D. Allman, journalist, was born in 1944. He received a B.A. from Harvard University in 1966 and did graduate study at Oxford in the 1970s. Allman worked as a freelance foreign correspondent in Southeast Asia from 1968 to 1971, where he did investigative and analytical reporting on the Vietnam War and the outbreak of the Cambodian war. He has contributed articles to numerous newspapers and magazines.
