Storekeeper of Concord, Mass., dealing in groceries, dry goods, tobacco, tools, tableware, seed, soap, matches, etc. Born in Methuen, Mass., May 15, 1797. Came to Concord in 1821. Married Cynthia Currier in 1822. Died June 18, 1852, in Concord. Director of Concord Bank, Trustee of Middlesex Institution for Savings, Treasurer of Concord Lyceum and of Society of Middlesex Husbandmen and Manufacturers, Clerk and Treasurer of Concord Social Library, member of Social Circle in Concord. Active in Whig politics. How's estate was administered by Concord lawyer Nathan Brooks.
