International Association of Heat and Frost Insulators and Asbestos Workers Local 2 was founded in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in 1904. The union is affiliated with the AFL-CIO and is now known as the International Association of Heat and Frost Insulators and Allied Workers in an attempt to disassociate itself from the dangers of asbestos work.
