Almquist, Elmer Hugo, 1893-1940
Biographical notes:
Almquist, a native of Nebraska, graduated from West Point in 1917. After serving as an artillery officer at various posts in Germany and the United States, he was assigned to command the R.0.T.C. unit at Alabama Polytechnic Institute, now Auburn University, in 1934. He was reassigned to Columbia, Missouri in 1940, where he died in Decmeber.
