President's Quetico-Superior Committee.
Biographical notes:
This Committee was formed under the executive order of F.D. Roosevelt in 1934 to "consult and advise with the various Federal departments and agencies concerned and with the State of Minnesota" to protect the wilderness area in the Rainy Lake and Pigeon River watershed of northern Minnesota and Ontario, known as the Quetico-Superior area.
