Biographical notes:
Samuel Wetherill was a Philadelphia manufacturer and merchant; he was a stockholder in the United Company of Philadelphia for Promoting Manufactures, and served as treasurer pro tem of the Manufacturing Committee from December 1787 to July 1788 and as chairman in 1803.
