Bunnell family.
Biographical notes:
Rufus William Bunnell (1835-1909) practiced architecture for over forty years in Bridgeport and Stratford, Connecticut. He designed numerous residential, commercial and public buildings, including the Bridgeport Hospital.
Sterling Haight Bunnell (1871-1959) received the Bachelor of Philosophy (1891) and Master's degree in mechanical engineering (1893) from Yale. He worked for a number of firms as a draftsman, engineer, and consultant, and retired from George S. Armstrong and Company, Inc. of New York as vice-president.
Frank Scott Bunnell (1872-1959) received a B.A. from Yale in 1894, an M.A. from the University of Minnesota in 1897, and the Ph.D. from Yale in 1899. In 1903, after teaching in schools in New Jersey, New York, Illinois, and Minnesota, he became an instructor in Greek at Norwich Free Academy, Norwich, Connecticut, from which he retired in 1933.
