Biographical notes:
Reformer Porter grew up in Bedford, Mass., married Joseph Kinnicutt Potter Porter, and moved with him to Wisconsin. She was active in the anti-slavery, woman suffrage, and temperance movements. She visited Washington, D.C. in 1867.
