Max D. Weaver earned his M.A. degree in 1955 from Utah State University.

Served in the US Army during World War II from 1944-1946. Weaver was assigned to the 1629th Engineer Construction Battalion. His assignments included battalion artist and the company commander's chauffeur. He achieved the rank of technician 5th grade.
