KRTV (Television station : Great Falls, Mont.)

Biographical notes:

KRTV began broadcasting television in the Great Falls, Montana, area on June 27, 1958. That same day, high winds destroyed its broadcasting antenna, and the station was off the air until October 5, 1958. KRTV was the first local television station to broadcast live from the Montana State Fair in 1960. In 1960, it began broadcasting in color.

As a CBS affiliate and member of the Montana Television Network, KRTV continues to deliver local, regional, and national programming for central and northern Montana.
