Bethany Lutheran Church (Portland, Or.)
Biographical notes:
This congregation was founded by Danish Lutherans who first worshipped in a small rented church in northwest Portland, but the building was burned. In 1905 a new church was dedicated, and in 1947 a new church was built altogether. In time a parsonage, educational wing and expanded facilities were introduced in 1961, though the parsonage has since been sold.
