Dr Hugh Morriston Davies, Sam Jones and Dyfnallt Morgan

Biographical notes:

Dr Hugh Morriston Davies, the eminent thoracic surgeon was born in 1879. In 1917 he lost the use of his right hand and had to learn to operate with his left. He died in 1965.

This is how N.P. Naef of the University of Lausanne Medical School, Switzerland describes him : By destiny a surgeon as well as a physician, Morriston Davies was probably the earliest advocate of interdisciplinary teamwork in thoracic medicine .
