Biographical notes:

Hugh F. O'Neil (b. 1901) was a writer, political activist, and a long-time resident of Ogden, Utah. He worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad, and ran several campaigns in Weber County for Utah governor J. Bracken Lee. In 1937-1940, he edited the Ogdenite, and between 1936-1942 he was an editor for the Historical Records Survey of the United States Work Progress Administration for Utah.
