Biographical notes:

Henry Duggar (1798-1852), formerly of Virginia, settled in Marengo County, Alabama, in 1844. His son, Reuben Henry Duggar (1837-1925), received training as a physician in Virginia and Pennsylvania and returned to Marengo County to practice medicine. John Frederick Duggar (1868-1945), son of Reuben Duggar, was a farmer, a professor of agriculture, and an administrator at Auburn University in the Agricultural Experiment Station and the Alabama Cooperative Extension Service.
