Wholesale fish dealers, owner of fishing vessels, and operator of marine railway; also involved in a grocery store and the manufacture of copper marine paint; located at Rocky Neck, East Gloucester, Mass.; established by Andrew Dodd and James G. Tarr in 1855 as Dodd & Tarr Fisheries; name changed to James G. Tarr & Bro. in 1874; grocery store established under name: Dodd, Tarr & Co.; copper paint manufactory established at Tarr's wharf in 1863 by Augustus Wonson and James G. Tarr under name: Tarr & Wonson.
