Davidson, Adam Brevard, 1808-1896.
Biographical notes:
A. Brevard Davidson was a Trustee of Davidson College from 1845 to 1876. Although he was opposed to North Carolina's secession, he eventually invested heavily in Confederate bonds. After the war, he invested in real estate in Charlotte, NC. His son, E.L. Baxter Davidson attended Davidson in the 1870s.
