Founded as the Wisconsin Society of Applied Arts (1916-1936) then becoming the Wisconsin Artists Federation (1936). Its purpose is "to promote fellowship among the workers, and to raise the standards of beauty in objects of common use, to bring designer and worker into mutual relationship ..."
