Oliver Iron Mining Company
Biographical notes:
The Oliver Iron Mining Company began operations on the Gogebic Iron Range in Michigan's Western Upper Peninsula in 1897. The company ended operations on the range in 1955. During this period, the Oliver Iron Mining Company owned and operated the following iron mines: North Ashland, Norrie, North Norrie, East Norrie, Aurora, North Aurora, Vaughn, Pabst, North Pabst, West Davis, Davis, Geneva, Royal, Puritan, North Puritan, City of Chicago, and the Vulcan.
