Lane, Robert C., ca. 1842-1929.
Biographical notes:
A native of Ohio, Lane served in the 3 month 10th Indiana Infantry before enlisting in the 40th Indiana Infantry in the fall of 1861. Eventually promoted to captain, he was mustered out with his regiment in 1865. He settled in Illinois.
