Joel Carpenter is an aviation historian and author with degrees in history and industrial design. He has written several works about UFOs and their relationship to post-WWII experimental aerospace projects. He is a member of the National Investigations Committee on Aerial Phenomena.

Richard B. Russell, Jr. (1897-1971), lawyer and politician, born in Winder, Georgia. Served as State Representative (1921-1931), Georgia Governor (1931-1933), and U.S. Senator (1933-1971).
