Samuel Galloway (1720-1785) was a merchant of West River, Maryland. He married Ann Chew (1725-1756) with whom he had four children, John, Benjamin, Mary and Anne. John (d. 1810), also a merchant, acted as executor for the estate of his sister Mary's husband, Thomas Ringgold, Jr. of Chestertown, Maryland.
